Taylor, PA/Press/December 13, 2019 – Christina McDermott, Teacher with Riverside Junior/Senior High School was selected for inclusion into the Top Educators of America 2019-2020 by The Who’s Who Directories.

Christina McDermott is an English Teacher at Riverside Junior / Senior High School for 14 yrs and is also the the Director of Riverside’s Spring Musicals. She has been is in the field of education for 15+ years.  She is a hardworking patient, humble, and amazing person both in the classroom and out. As one of her students expressed, “I was one of her students and a part of the plays for 5 years. She makes both  the classroom and auditorium a safe place for students whose personal lives may not be ideal. She treats her students and Drama Club members as if they are her own children. I personally don’t know how she takes on such a load year after year and continually is an inspiration and beacon of light to many in the District.” Mrs McDermott credits her family for her motivation and the driving force that pushes her forward in her career..

Mrs. McDermott received a M.A. in Classroom Technology from Wilkes University and a B.A. in English from Kings College with a Secondary Education Certificate.
