Brittany Ruth is a vocal teacher at Oak Hill Middle/High School. The last two years she taught 6th-12th grade vocal music and Instrumental lessons. Ms. Ruth uses a holistic approach to education by recognizing students as a whole to develop students character, strengthens their social interactions and to explore different skills through the use of cognitive activity. As one former student is quoted as saying, “Miss Ruth is not only a teacher but is a friend. I would always look forwards to being in her class everyday. She not only teaches her students but encourages them. Whenever I had a bad a day she would welcome me with open arms and let me open up about what was going on in my life. Now that I have graduated I realize that I am so lucky to be able to call her my friend.” Ms. Ruth received a B.A. in Music Education from Berea College. She is a member of The Ohio Music Education Association and Tri-M Music Honor Society.
Ms. Ruth was nominated to receive the Grammy Music Education Award.
