Tara Burrell is a first grade teacher at RideOut Elementary. She has been an educator for 21 years, the last 18 years teaching kindergarten and first grade. Ms. Burrell is passion not only for teaching, but learning to continue to perfect her craft. She treats all of her students with respect and strives to hold high expectations for them. She engages her students and makes learning fun. Ms. Burrell believes in each one of her students and makes them feel loved and special. This bond that she creates helps her students become high achievers. As a result of her positive approach to teaching, students have a deep love of learning that stays with them through the years. Ms. Burrell is also an inspiration to her fellow colleagues. A fellow teacher is quoted as saying,”I have grown more than I ever would if working alongside Tara Burrell. She inspires me every day to be the best version of me for my students.”
Ms. Burrell received a B.A. in primary education (K-12) from the University of North Florida.
Ms. Burrell was honored and recognized as “Teacher of the Year” for excellence in teaching.
